General Questions General Questions
How long until my web page is published?
After the submission of your photo(s), property information and payment (thank you!) expect your web page to be published to the OwnersPage.com site in approximately 48 hours. Should an unforeseen matter arise, you will be notified immediately by email or phone. Suggestion - Please wait to place a classified ad in the local paper until you have verified your page content.

Can I list my real estate at OwnersPage.com AND with a realtor at the same time?
That's all too fine with us! In fact, we welcome realtors, and other property investors to take advantage of OwnersPage.com services. OwnersPage.com is in no way affiliated with a realty company or a realtor. We are paid only for our time and efforts to publish an owner's web page to the world wide web. Suggestion - if your home is under contract with a realtor, please consult them before ordering a web page.

Who can see my web page?
817,447,147 folks or 12.7% of the earth's human population (as of February 2005 and according to Internet World Stats.com). Our point is, your page is a viable coded page that is viewable for any folks interested in finding your page. Truth is, there are literally BILLIONS of web pages on the internet so chances are slim to none that folks will find your page unless they are actively searching properties of Western North Carolina or they have run across your web page number through other advertisements or driven by your property sign.

If I have a web page, why do you suggest I advertise locally in the classifieds, have a yard sign, and publish a sales brochure? Our answer is two-part:
1. To market a property successfully today's owner MUST take a multi-media approach to advertising. According to the NAR (The National Association of Realtors) Buyer/Seller Statistics for 2003 - The Information Sources Used in Home Search were:
Real estate agent 86%
Yard sign 69%
Internet 65%
Newspaper 49%
Home book/magazine 35%
Open house 48 %
Builders 37%
Television 22%
Relocation company 14%
2. Trite but true...."a picture is worth a thousand words" but have you priced placing a picture or even a FEW words in the classifieds? Classified ads can be quite pricey and yet they're still a very effective way to reach the local market. By running a small classified ad mentioning your ownerspage.com/pagename you can greatly reduce the cost of classified advertising all the while screening and pre-qualifying folks who have an opportunity to see your property first online. By the way, just in are the NAR 2004 statistics...the internet and yard sign percentages were up significantly at 74% each as search sources used by buyers!

Why should I list my property with OwnersPage.com instead of other FSBO web sites?
First reason - PRICE. Believe you us folks, we've looked - and there's simply no better web page facilitator out there for the money!

Second reason - we're only a LOCAL phone call away (in Hendersonville, NC), AND WE CREATE YOUR PAGE FOR YOU! You don't have to know the first thing about uploading, downloading, pixels, resolution, optimization, NADDA!

Third reason - we practice what we preach in multi-media exposure. Our goal to make OwnersPage.com THE MOST RECOGNIZED and REPUTABLE web page facilitator in Western North Carolina will only come to pass through much advertising (and good business practices!). Our local advertising campaign promotes visitors to your page in addition to your advertising.

What web page information should I include in a classified ad?
The very basic text should include: Item being sold, phone number, and web page address. For Example:
AKC Beagle Pups
123-4567 or see @
www.ownerspage.com/
m0000.html
But be sure to read how to write a good classified ad on our Selling Tips Page.

Photo Questions Photo Questions
Digital Pictures: Pixels, Resolution, Optimization -
Rather than going into a lengthy digital pictures tutorial PLEASE email or send your pictures via CD or floppy disk to allow us to crop, resize, and optimize. Please save in .jpg or .gif format if possible. As requested on the Submission Forms - please name your pictures and send small explanation with each named picture. Send a SASE if you wish your pictures to be returned.

Can I send Polaroids?
The quality of a Polaroid combined with the scanning process makes for a less than ideal picture for your web page. You may send Polaroids, but you do so at the risk of poor picture quality. We can not be responsible for the quality results.

Submission Questions Submission Forms Questions
I am not comfortable filling out the "online" submission form, and I don't have a printer. How do I submit my order?
Give us a call and we'll mail or fax a form to you immediately.

How do I make changes after the form has already been submitted?
Give us a call or email us to make your changes. If you've already been assigned a page number please refer to it or give us your full name, address, and phone number when making a change.

Publishing Questions Page Publishing Questions
If my property sells quickly can I change my web page and list a new item?
Congratulations but no. Much work and time goes into publishing each page. The fee for your page covered our time fairly. Uploading new files and photos would be cost prohibitive to us, however, we do plan to write a user-friendly application in the future that will allow the owner to make updates to their web page. For now, though, we hope you'll be happy that you were able to market your property to your satisfaction so quickly.

I would get a web page, but I am not comfortable listing personal information on the web. What do you suggest?
We respect that many folks for various reasons just aren't comfortable with giving too much information about themselves to the general public. Certainly you may disclose as little or as much information about yourself and your property as you choose. For instance, if selling a car you may choose to simply give an "alias" email address, and request the interested party email you with a name and number, and you will call them. While this approach is cautious it might be a bit off-putting for potential customers. Our "Grand Tour" Package comes with a free email alias account, meaning you can have your anynameyoulike@ownerspage.com email account, protecting your "real" email address from others. All other OwnersPage.com customers can get an email account for an additional fee of $5.00.

Can I make changes to my web page?
YES - but TEXT changes ONLY. Grand Tour Page owners are allowed as many text changes as they wish. All other page owners are allowed 3 changes free of charge and $4.00 thereafter for each change.

How do I make changes to my page?
Email or call us with your change requests. Please refer to your assigned page number.

How do I cancel my web page?
We will send you a renewal reminder 1 week prior to your cancelation date. If we do not hear from you, your web page will be canceled automatically. Should you choose to terminate your service early, simply call or email and include your name and page number and date you would like the page terminated.

How do I renew my web page?
We will send you a renewal reminder 1 week prior to your cancelation date. Please email or call us to renew your page. We will contact you for payment, and should we not receive payment within 5 days after the renewal, your page will be disabled until payment is received.
Billing Questions Billing/Fees Questions
Do I get a refund if my property sells quickly and I no longer need my web page?
No, and you're welcome! Seriously...as explained earlier, our fee covers the time taken to code and post your page. Once this service is performed there will be no refund (as explained on your application). If you contact us for whatever reason before we've coded or posted your page you will be entitled to a full refund. NOTE: a refund does not apply to the "WEB SERVER" No Hassle service; once you have been visited by a "WEB SERVER" professional, the service is considered rendered and satisfied.
